The Product Designer will lead user research, create prototypes, and establish design systems to shape the end-to-end experience of digital products. They will collaborate with engineering and product management teams to ensure designs are functional, intuitive, and accurately implemented.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to identify needs and pain points
- Create personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide design decisions
- Analyze product usage data to inform iterations
- Translate insights into low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity prototypes
- Iterate quickly, testing designs with stakeholders and users before development
- Deliver pixel-perfect designs for web and mobile interfaces
- Define interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability
- Ensure consistency across platforms by maintaining component libraries and style guides
- Build and maintain scalable design systems
- Incorporate WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards into all designs
- Test for usability across devices, screen sizes, and assistive technologies
- Partner with product managers to define scope and priorities
- Work with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
- Provide ongoing support during development to refine edge cases
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional product design experience
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts
- Solid understanding of UX principles, usability, and accessibility standards
- Strong empathy for users paired with business-minded pragmatism
- Excellent communicator who can defend design choices with data
- Portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving and UI craftsmanship
- Comfortable collaborating in Agile sprint environments
