Mechanical Design Engineering Co-op (Summer & Fall)(Onsite)

The intern will support the Gearboxes and Starters team by reviewing layouts, performing design calculations, and resolving complex engineering problems. They will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure design conformity and project completion.

Responsibilities

• Review completed layouts and drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning
• Communicate with other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and ensure project completion
• Support a Design lead in the creation and review of components, calculates stack-up of detail components, and performs analysis to substantiate model and print definition
• Resolve design problems of difficult scope to ensure project completion
• Engage with manufacturing and engineering counterparts to collaborate on production problem solving opportunities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Experience with manufacturing techniques is preferred
• Aerospace and Industrial Power Transmission systems focus is preferred
