Design Engineering - Eng Lab Technician

The technician will support the product development engineering team by preparing mechanical and electro-mechanical test setups and executing product evaluations. They are also responsible for documenting test results, maintaining laboratory organization, and assisting engineers with failure mode reviews.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare test setups for the evaluation of manufactured or purchased components and assemblies
• Operate test equipment, mechanical setups, and measurement devices to perform product testing as requested
• Follow test procedures, engineering drawings, and documented specifications to ensure proper test execution
• Record test data accurately and provide clear observations or notes regarding product behavior
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe laboratory workspace

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Background in electrical circuits or mechanical systems
• Prior experience in engineering, automotive, manufacturing, or testing environments
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and test specifications
• Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
