Product Designer - AI Assistants & Tools

You will design intuitive AI-native experiences for Search Copilot and the Ada assistant to improve user workflows. This involves prototyping interaction patterns, defining system behaviors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure AI outputs are clear and actionable.
Responsibilities
- Design AI-Native Experiences
- Improve and evolve Search Copilot into a core workflow tool
- Expand Ada beyond email into a more capable, embedded assistant
- Design for probabilistic systems, balancing power, clarity, and trust
- Elevate Usability & Integration
- Simplify complex AI outputs into actionable experiences
- Improve discoverability across product surfaces
- Define micro-interactions that communicate confidence, uncertainty, and system state
- Reduce friction in high-volume, content-heavy workflows
- Strengthen Content & Communication
- Craft thoughtful microcopy for prompts, empty states, error states, and AI explanations
- Prototype & Experiment
- Rapidly prototype new AI interaction patterns
- Explore different input modalities, including voice and conversational interfaces
- Collaborate closely with Data Science to test, iterate, and refine experiences
Requirements
- 2–4 years of product design experience
- Experience designing for AI-powered tools or intelligent systems
- Strong interaction design and micro-interaction skills
- Comfort designing for probabilistic systems and imperfect outputs
- Content design strength — clear, concise, user-centered writing
- Ability to prototype quickly and iterate in fast-moving environments
- Strong collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and Data Science
