Onsite $116,800 - $160,000 Full-time Senior

The Controls Design Engineer will track, document, and enhance global data center design standards for BMS and EPMS systems. They will act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to manage new construction, legacy site enhancements, and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Have deep knowledge of building operations, mechanical plant strategies, BMS/EPMS programming concepts, control diagrams, industrial HVAC, electrical line-ups, one line diagrams, and complex environmental and electrical concepts
  • Innovation of new solutions to support initiatives, team, and company goals
  • Lead and facilitate collaboration with multiple teams including construction, programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, and team managers as necessary to accomplish initiative goals
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate specification documents that pertain to global projects
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate project specific scope of work (SOW) documents including global design standards

Requirements

  • Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or 5+ years of experience in building automation systems (BMS) and/or electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) design and deployment
  • 2+ years experience with data center or "mission-critical" facility control systems
  • 2+ years of experience with HVAC systems, mechanical plant strategies, control programming concepts, low voltage electrical and/or experience with electrical distribution systems, one-line diagrams, and power monitoring
