The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for designing and iterating on user interfaces and experiences for AI-powered products, ensuring accessibility and usability while translating complex AI capabilities into intuitive interactions. This role also involves establishing design standards for AI-driven products, including guidelines for explainability and responsible AI visualization.
Responsibilities
- Designing and iterating on user interfaces and experiences for AI-powered products, ensuring accessibility and usability in an evolving feature landscape
- Translating complex AI capabilities, model outputs, and algorithmic decisions into clear, intuitive user interactions and visual design systems
- Establishing design standards and best practices for AI-driven products across the organization, including guidelines for explainability, trust, and responsible AI visualization
- Collaborating with AI researchers, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand technical constraints and business objectives, then synthesizing insights into compelling product strategies
- Conducting user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and inform iterative improvements in product experiences
- Mentoring junior designers and advocating for user-centered design within technical teams
- Staying current with emerging design patterns, tools, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Strong experience in product, interface, or UX design with a solid portfolio demonstrating design excellence
- Proficiency in interface design principles, design systems, and modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, or similar)
- Experience designing user experiences for complex, data-intensive, or technical products
- Demonstrated ability to conduct user research, run usability tests, and use data to inform design decisions
- Strong business acumen with experience collaborating effectively across technical, product, and business teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to advocate for design within diverse environments
- Knowledge of design accessibility standards (WCAG) and commitment to inclusive design
- Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative design in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Familiarity with design-to-development handoff processes and modern development workflows
