Design Engineering Technical Lead

The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary design efforts across complex transportation and transit projects, providing technical input, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Responsibilities also include preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, managing design interfaces, and supporting quality control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts across large, complex transportation and transit projects
- Provide technical input and oversight for design development to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
- Coordinate design interfaces across multiple disciplines, contracts, and delivery packages
- Support and apply design workflows, quality control procedures, and document management processes
- Collaborate with project management, construction teams, and client stakeholders to support resolution of complex technical and constructability issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, electrical, or related disciplines)
- Experience supporting design delivery on large, multidisciplinary infrastructure programs
- Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines and supporting integrated design efforts
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements governing transportation and transit infrastructure in California
- Experience working in client-facing or project delivery environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365
