Sr. Innovation & Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

The engineer will invent, design, and implement engineering solutions for complex material flow and human/machine efficiency issues across the global Amazon supply chain. Key duties include leading design and innovation efforts for the transportation network via equipment specification, process design, and site layout, while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain
- Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the transportation network
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions
- Manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent
- Experience with design & innovation and research & development
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
