The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, which includes developing marketing materials such as advertisements, newsletters, display panels, and proposal/presentation graphics. This role also involves researching production options, preparing work for output, meeting with vendors, and ensuring quality control through proof approval.
Responsibilities
- Develop marketing materials including design/layout of advertisements, newsletters, display panels and proposal/presentation materials
- Researches paper options, printing techniques and digital media processes as necessary
- Prepare work for output and meets with vendors to discuss and estimate projects
- Ensure quality control through approval of proofs and review of materials
- Interpret client requirements to creatively design and build customized work and graphics for use on multiple platforms
- Make design decisions based on client feedback, branding standards and overall vision
- Develop and maintain design mockups, storyboards and other design documents
- Update design knowledge by participating in educational and professional opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design or Fine Arts related field of study or equivalent experience
- Experience with Premiere, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and CSS
- Strong knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Offset printing/digital printing/color correction knowledge
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
