Senior UX Designer, YouTube Trust and Safety

This role involves defining and enforcing safety and responsibility standards for YouTube, focusing on building infrastructure and tools to enforce community guidelines at scale for investigations, content review, and creator appeals. The designer will collaborate with engineering and product management to create industry-leading tools while ensuring creators can participate safely.
Responsibilities
- Understand business needs and workflows to develop safety solutions
- Identify and lead opportunities to innovate and improve YouTube's trust and safety tools and processes
- Leverage AI and prototyping resources to accelerate workflows, explore solution spaces, and improve product design decisions
- Partner with UX research teams to identify and address high-impact gaps in product and user knowledge
- Advocate for team efforts and collaborate across YouTube and Google to find alignment and improve product outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design
- Experience with design systems, prototyping, and tools development
- Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field (preferred)
- 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization (preferred)
- 2 years of experience leading design projects (preferred)
