The role involves conceptualizing and creating original graphic artwork, prints, and patterns for various apparel collections across multiple seasons, requiring research into fashion trends and cultural insights. Responsibilities also include developing detailed tech packs, preparing production-ready artwork files with correct specifications, and collaborating with production teams to ensure design integrity.
Responsibilities
- Design original graphics, prints, patterns, and artwork for apparel collections
- Research and analyze seasonal fashion trends, color palettes, street culture, and competitor offerings
- Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure designs align with brand strategy and seasonal themes
- Create mood boards, concept presentations, and design decks to communicate creative vision
- Prepare production-ready artwork files with correct color separations, repeat patterns, and print-method specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
- 2-5 years of professional experience designing graphics for an apparel brand, fashion label, or licensed apparel company
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Strong portfolio showcasing apparel-specific graphic work
- Thorough understanding of garment construction, print methods, and fabric types
