UX Product Designer - Voice & Device Experiences

The role involves owning the end-to-end User Experience (UX) for Sangoma’s desk phones and devices, focusing on interaction models and execution for embedded, hardware-constrained environments. Responsibilities include designing task-driven workflows for core telephony functions and creating clear, scalable interaction patterns that prioritize speed and predictability.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end UX of Sangoma’s desk phone and device experiences, from interaction models to execution
- Design for embedded, hardware-constrained environments with physical inputs, limited screens, and real-time expectations
- Define task-driven workflows for core telephony functions: calling, transfers, conferencing, voicemail, call handling, and more
- Create clear, scalable interaction patterns that prioritize speed, predictability, and low cognitive load
- Translate complex communication workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in UX and user interface design, product design, or interaction design
- Demonstrated experience designing task-focused, workflow-driven interfaces
- Strong understanding of human–computer interaction (HCI) principles, including cognitive load, affordances, and error prevention
- Ability to communicate UX rationale clearly to engineers and non-design stakeholders
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
