BI Product Designer, Business Intelligence

The main responsibilities involve designing, conceptualizing, and enhancing Business Intelligence (BI) products, including dashboards and data models, while ensuring solutions are intuitive, scalable, and secure. This role also includes hands-on development tasks in Fabric & Power BI, troubleshooting, and optimizing BI solutions for performance and governance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and user needs, translating them into BI product concepts, functional specifications, and backlog items
• Work with product owners, process owners, and key users to define requirements and acceptance criteria
• Take ownership of the design and conceptualization of BI dashboards, data models, and analytical products
• Participate in user demos, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into design improvements
• Ensure usability, accessibility, and visual consistency of BI dashboards and models
• Design and develop BI solutions, including APPs, Reports, and semantic models
• Create and maintain high-quality technical design documents
• Provide clarifications and support to developers, data engineers, and testers during implementation, verification, and validation
• Identify data-quality issues early in the pipeline and escalate appropriately
• Troubleshoot issues related to BI data sources, model performance, and platform connectivity
• Monitor and optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and security

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern data architectural principles
• Strong grasp of UX principles in BI design and delivery
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, DBT
• Proficiency with version control systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, DAX, Python and Power Query
• Actively exploring and applying AI-assisted capabilities to improve productivity in BI solution development and delivery
