UX Product Designer - Voice & Device Experiences

The role involves owning the end-to-end UX for desk phone and device experiences, focusing on interaction models and execution for embedded, hardware-constrained environments. Responsibilities include designing task-driven workflows for core telephony functions and creating clear, scalable interaction patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design how communication actually happens
• Own the end-to-end UX of Sangoma's desk phone and device experiences, from interaction models to execution
• Design for embedded, hardware-constrained environments with physical inputs, limited screens, and real-time expectations
• Create clear, scalable interaction patterns that prioritize speed, predictability, and low cognitive load
• Translate complex communication workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience (5+ years preferred) in UX and user interface design, product design, or interaction design
• Demonstrated experience designing task-focused, workflow-driven interfaces
• Strong understanding of human–computer interaction (HCI) principles, including cognitive load, affordances, and error prevention
• Comfortable prioritizing clarity, reliability, and speed of use over visual expressiveness when necessary
• Ability to communicate UX rationale clearly to engineers and non-design stakeholders
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
