UX Product Designer - Voice & Device Experiences

The role involves owning the end-to-end User Experience (UX) for Sangomaâs desk phones and devices, focusing on designing clear, efficient interaction models for task-critical communication workflows on hardware-constrained platforms. Responsibilities include creating UX artifacts, partnering closely with firmware engineers, and ensuring designs align with customer needs and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design for embedded, hardware-constrained environments with physical inputs, limited screens, and real-time expectations
- Define task-driven workflows for core telephony functions
- Create clear, scalable interaction patterns that prioritize speed, predictability, and low cognitive load
- Translate complex communication workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences
- Partner closely with firmware engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and perform reliably
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in UX and user interface design, product design, or interaction design
- Demonstrated experience designing task-focused, workflow-driven interfaces
- Strong understanding of humanâcomputer interaction principles
- Comfortable prioritizing clarity, reliability, and speed of use over visual expressiveness
- Ability to communicate UX rationale clearly to engineers and non-design stakeholders
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
