The manager will oversee a portfolio of two to four ASIC/FPGA development programs, guiding the technical baseline and execution while hiring and supporting engineers, including project leads. Responsibilities also include implementing common design practices, ensuring first-time quality through verification, and developing stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of ASIC/FPGA development programs
  • Guide the technical baseline and program execution
  • Hire and support the ASIC/FPGA engineers
  • Implement common design practices used across the wider department
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers and strategic suppliers
  • Lead or contribute to individual programs and IRAD projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working with ASICs or FPGAs
  • One (1) or more years of demonstrated success leading development efforts, including project management and earned value tracking
  • Familiarity with FAA DO-254 certification
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
