The specialist will focus on designing, developing, building, and implementing new products, components, or technologies, specifically helping to design and troubleshoot 7L-9L inline-6 diesel engine systems for various applications. Responsibilities include developing design parameters, technical specifications, guiding technical design evolution, and participating in supplier assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of products and components
  • Guide the evolution of the technical design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing
  • Participate in supplier selection and capabilities assessment
  • Monitor, explore, and test new technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities
  • Construct and fabricate prototype equipment; oversee materials selection, process optimization and process yield, as well as reliability testing and failure analysis

Requirements

  • Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
  • Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools
  • Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
