Founding Product Designer

The founding product designer will invent and build the core product experience from the ground up, working closely with leadership and engineering to design core workflows for AI agents investigating incidents and translating complex system behavior into trustworthy user experiences. This involves defining guardrails for automation, shaping product decisions with engineers, and designing dense interfaces for engineers under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Design core workflows and dashboards for AI agents that investigate incidents and production issues
- Translate complex system behavior into clear, trustworthy user experiences
- Define guardrails and interaction patterns so automation is safe, reversible, and predictable
- Partner tightly with engineers to shape product decisions, defaults, and failure modes
- Design dense, high-signal interfaces for engineers operating under time pressure
Requirements
- Has a valid US Visa or work permit
- Works in SF in person 3 days a week
- 6+ years of experience as a product designer
- Has designed complex systems, dashboards, or internal / operator-facing tools
- Is comfortable with dense information, tradeoffs, and designing for failure modes
