Senior Manager, Product Designer - UX/UI

The Senior Manager, Product Designer will set the standard for creating rigorous, research-backed, end-to-end product experiences, leading a team to achieve customer-centered outcomes while collaborating closely with business and technical leaders. Key duties include managing design activities from research through execution, guiding UX/UI designers, ensuring design consistency, and mentoring the team on new working methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with the product, business and technology teams to define, scope and manage the end-to-end product experience
• Manage the design team activities from research and ideation through to execution and ensure consistent high-quality outcomes
• Guide UX designers on design strategy related to research and insights generation and then execute high quality UX artefacts
• Guide UI designers on executing best in class visual design work that is consistent, on brand and user backed
• Work with the front end developers to ensure the successful implementation of the visual design and product interaction
• Mentor and coach the design teams, specifically with new ways of working and mapping strategy to execution
• Identify and remove team impediments
• Work with CPO and POs to align the roadmap to vision and continuous insights to ensure voice of the customer is heard
• Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo
• Attend events and sessions, promoting customer focus, and being visible at town hall events
• Synchronizing customer research and map customer journeys for the constituent across teams
• Synthesize customer insights across research by each team at the journey level
• Help define and shape the experience strategy, facilitating work sessions with stakeholders and users to define key design goals and requirements

Requirements

• Ability to plan, direct and deliver clear research process and artefacts
• Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units
• Significant experience driving design outcomes in an Agile infrastructure
• Seasoned design expertise with deep insight into newest methods, trends, and design operations
• Experience in Agile Development as a product designer, including tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex product decisions while advocating the voice of the customer
• Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the team’s potential
