Onsite $52,000 - $65,000 Part-time Entry Level

Interns will support experienced Mechanical Engineers by modifying and creating 2D/3D CAD models, analyzing designs using FEA/CFD, and applying GD&T principles. Responsibilities also include developing standardized work instructions, tracking production metrics, and implementing floor improvement programs like 5S and TPM.

Responsibilities

  • Modify and create 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for new and existing designs
  • Analyze and model product designs to ensure performance and durability using FEA and CFD tools
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure design manufacturability and accuracy
  • Analyze raw test data and write detailed reports on findings and recommendations
  • Research specifications and evaluate design proposals through calculations and simulations
  • Assist in the design of assembly and test tooling, fixtures, and holders
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop standardized work instructions and methods
  • Develop and track productivity and efficiency metrics for the production floor
  • Support production optimization initiatives, including line balancing and time/motion studies
  • Implement 5S, TPM, and visual management programs to improve production floor operations

Requirements

  • Completion of one to two years of a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering program at an accredited university
  • US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and achieve results
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to set goals and meet commitments
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
