UI/UX Designer

The role involves serving as an Agile Scrum team member, providing UI/UX design and development for releasable software in short sprints, collaborating closely with business analysts, developers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes. Responsibilities include conceptualizing and designing custom software capabilities, leading the design of a cohesive look-and-feel, and developing user-focused experiences aligned with client business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing UI/UX design and development for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles
• Responsible for activities associated with software projects by working in close collaboration with business analysts, software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes
• Conceptualizing and designing custom software application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight
• Lead the design of a cohesive look-and-feel and standardized user experience across the applications
• Taking a leadership role in collaborations between the creative strategy, UX, visual design, development team, and client to create effective design strategies
• Developing compelling, creative, and user-focused experiences and points of view that align with clients’ business objectives
• Collaborating with cross-discipline team to create and execute experience style guides, interaction patterns, and information design standards
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and/or prototypes supporting design ideas and effectively communicate ideas to various stakeholders
• Establish standard layout and style libraries across applications
• Work closely with the functional team to determine feasibility of requirements and collaborate on design ideas and improvements
• Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports
• Providing mentoring to junior members of the team

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation
• Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors
• 5 + years’ experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, experience designer or a similar role
• Professional experience with enterprise UI design tools such as Figma (preferred), Axure, or similar tools
• Professional experience communicating designs with stakeholders such as product owners, end users, development teams, and management
