Mechanical Systems Engineer II - Manufacturing & Design Engineering

The Mechanical Systems Engineer II will serve as the Subject Matter Expert, responsible for the selection, specification, and technical requisition of mechanical components within Honeywell LNG's liquefaction systems. This includes designing plant-size systems using components like piping, valves, and insulation, while ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Function as the Mechanical Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert within the Honeywell LNG Organization
• Interface with cross-functional disciplines such as Piping Design, Piping Stress Engineering, Process Controls, Machinery Engineering, Procurement, Process Safety, and Process Systems Engineering
• Develop and/or select specifications for piping, manual valves, control valves, insulation, coatings, and fittings for various fluid services, temperatures, and pressures related to LNG applications

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical engineering
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Ability to interpret regulatory and customer specifications
• Experience with supply chain technical aspects, system pressure testing, and design breaks
