The role involves owning entire product areas from initial problem discovery through to delivering a validated prototype ready for engineering implementation. This includes deep diving into complex domains, gathering requirements from various stakeholders, and designing user flows that solve actual problems.
Responsibilities
- Own product areas end-to-end: Take a goal and drive it from discovery to validated prototype ready for development
- Deep dive into complex domains: Research technical requirements, understand regulatory or industry complexity, and translate it into simple user experiences
- Gather requirements independently: Talk to subject matter experts, developers, customer teams, and other stakeholders to understand what needs to be built
- Design user flows and solutions: Map out the UX, identify edge cases, and design solutions that actually solve the problem
- Build working prototypes: Use AI tools and the design system to create functional prototypes
- Validate with customers: Test prototypes with users, gather feedback, refine the solution
- Hand off to engineering: Prepare clear specs and work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation
Requirements
- Strong UX design experience with proven ability to own product areas independently
- Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity
- Proficiency with Figma and component-based design systems
- Experience with user testing and research
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Business maturity
- Proactive and resourceful
- Willingness to adopt AI-native workflows
