
Senior Product Designer, CNN Growth, Acquisition Wholesale

The Senior Product Designer will execute across all phases of the design process, including wire-framing, prototyping, and visual design, while driving large-scale, business-critical projects. This role focuses on creating design expressions for CNN Digital web, mobile, and OTT apps dedicated to converting the audience to new subscribers of the CNN streaming product.
Responsibilities
- Executes across all phases of the design process from conception to implementation to include (but not limited to) wire-framing, prototyping, and visual design
- Helps drive large-scale highly strategic projects that are deemed business critical
- Contributes to a clear vision for the future of design and demonstrates ability to implement forward thinking design
- Transforms ideas of concepts into visually tangible flows and plans
- Delivers polished visuals based on strong design fundamentals
- Comprehends the intersection of product design of a media streaming and business goals
- Builds collaborative relationships with internal stakeholder leads (Product Management, Engineering, Editorial, Revenue etc.) to ensure consistency with broader company goals
- Demonstrates strong understanding and implementation of internal design process
- Actively contributes to provide thoughtful solutions to complex design problems
Requirements
- Design portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design solutions
- 5+ years professional experience, specifically as a Product Designer
- Mastery in Figma UX software and prototyping
- Foundational understanding HTML and CSS
- Understands product bundling, identity, verification, authentication, and authorization systems
- Exceptional track record to execute on product design strategy and partner with cross functional team members
- Experience building world class product experiences, streamline workflows with continuous iteration and improvement
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive user experience design, including usability principles, user research methodology, testing techniques (A/B, Multi-Variant), design theory, and interaction design
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
