UX Designer

The role involves defining and evolving interaction models, task flows, and usability foundations for Sangoma's phone firmware and device interfaces, focusing on embedded, hardware-constrained products. Responsibilities include creating UX/UI artifacts, defining telephony feature patterns, and collaborating closely with engineers and product management to ensure accurate implementation and alignment with user needs.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve interaction models, task flows, and usability foundations of Sangoma’s phone firmware and device interfaces
• Provide UX design for desk phones (embedded, hardware-constrained products) with physical keys, small and/or touch screen displays
• Create UX and UI artifacts including user flows, wireframes, and interaction specifications, icons, and graphics
• Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to ensure UX designs are accurately implemented

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in UX and user interface design, product design, or interaction design
• Demonstrated experience designing task-focused, workflow-driven interfaces
• Strong understanding of human–computer interaction (HCI) principles
• Comfortable prioritizing clarity, reliability, and speed of use over visual expressiveness
• Ability to communicate UX rationale clearly to engineers and non-design stakeholders
