The Engineering Project Manager will lead cross-functional partners and external vendors to meet program objectives, focusing on mechanical engineering design, development planning, and validation cycles for new iPhones. Key duties involve deep diving into material fundamentals, creatively solving technical and logistical problems, and ensuring collaboration to deliver optimal material solutions and products.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development and implementation process for one of Apple's iPhone Product Design teams
- Lead a team of cross-functional partners and external vendors to meet the overall program objectives
- Focus on mechanical engineering design, development planning, and validation cycles of new iPhones
- Drive day-to-day activities to meet overall project objectives
- Create and manage project schedules
- Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management
Requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
- Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to lead multi-functional communication between project teams and external vendors
- BS Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Deep experience in NPI project management and mechanical engineering
- Ability to travel/work internationally 25% of the year
