Modular Product Designer

The role involves designing modular façade components, such as curtainwall and windowwall systems, and developing custom aluminum and plastic extrusions for product improvement. Responsibilities also include producing detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D parametric models using specified software.
Responsibilities
- Design modular façade components, including curtainwall and windowwall systems
- Develop custom aluminum, silicone, and plastic extrusions for new or improved products
- Produce detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D parametric models using AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor
- Support product development initiatives—prototyping, testing, refinement, and documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to optimize system performance and manufacturability
- Ensure all designs comply with structural, thermal, and applicable code requirements
- Create and maintain documentation packages, including BOMs and revision-controlled drawings
Requirements
- Must have curtainwall design experience
- Proven ability to design custom aluminum and/or thermoplastic extrusions
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong understanding of modular building envelope systems, materials, and fabrication and installation methods
- Experience with 2D drafting and 3D parametric modeling
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
