UX Researcher

The UX Researcher will lead research efforts across the entire product design life cycle, including conducting early-stage user/market research, developing research strategies, mapping user personas, and designing/conducting various product tests. This role involves close collaboration with designers, product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure product designs meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers to develop the research that will inform the creation of user personas and journey maps
• Conduct a variety of different design research activities based on the needs of the product teams you support
• Work closely with UX designers and product managers to identify research opportunities, develop research plans, recruit participants, execute the research, and present your findings to a cross-functional team
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decisions

Requirements

• 4+ years of UX research and testing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Case studies showcasing specific examples of completed software applications that your research has influenced
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of modalities, design patterns, and affordances common among digital applications
• Project management skills, e.g., organization, time management, planning, negotiation
