The designer will produce web-ready visuals such as hero banners, in-article graphics, and light illustrations for SEO content to support rankings and conversions. This involves working with SEO writers to create on-brand assets and implementing them on the website using tools like WordPress.
Responsibilities
- Produce hero banners and in-article graphics (flows, comparisons, icons) from SEO briefs
- Prepare web-optimized exports (correct aspect ratios, srcset sizes, WebP/PNG, compression)
- Apply brand guidelines (typography, color, spacing) and maintain a reusable asset library
- Implement/attach assets in WordPress where required; set alt text and captions
- Create annotated screenshots/tables for platform reviews with consistent styling
- Ensure accessibility (alt text), performance (file size), and SEO (filenames, EXIF where useful)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or similar experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Information Design, or Technical Communication (visual track)
- 2+ years designing web graphics for articles/landing pages
- Proficient in Photoshop or GIMP (source files, smart objects, nondestructive workflows)
- Working knowledge of Illustrator (vector icons) or Inkscape; Figma for layout handoff
- Web production skills: export presets, responsive crops, WebP, basic color management, and naming/version control
- WordPress basics (upload, alt text, captions, alignment)
- Fluent English (C1/C2), with a plus if you have knowledge in any of: Malay, Arabic, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, or Vietnamese
