Senior Product Designer - International Wealth and Premier Banking

The Senior Product Designer will influence the vision, strategy, and roadmap to position HSBC at the forefront of customer experience design while elevating design quality and championing design thinking across UX, UI, and UX Writing in collaboration with a global team. This role requires translating complex financial and regulatory requirements into simple, engaging digital experiences and using research and data to validate customer value.
Responsibilities
- Influence our vision, strategy, and roadmap to help position HSBC at the forefront of customer experience design
- Elevate design quality and practice, championing design thinking, and facilitating a culture of excellence and accountability
- Ensure the highest standard of craft, clarity and creativity, across user experience (UX), user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) Writing
- Conduct research and effectively apply data and insights to inform, evaluate, and validate customer experiences that deliver real value
- Obsess over the details of UX, content, visual and interaction design, consistently pushing boundaries to create innovative, inclusive, and elegant experiences
- Realise the benefits of consistency and scalable design practices to deliver high quality experiences for diverse customers
Requirements
- Proven experience designing digital products and services, with strategic responsibility and impact
- A strong portfolio showcasing world-class product design across responsive and native platforms, with clear user and business outcomes
- Expertise in Figma, design systems, prototyping, and core UX disciplines including research, content design, testing, visual and interaction design, and information architecture
- Experience in complex, regulated environmentsâideally financial services
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
- A collaborative, cross-functional mindset with the ability to build trust across geographies and in global contexts
- Demonstrate a capability for writing effective content in UK English as part of your product design skill set
