The role involves creating effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces while designing the overall product functionality based on a user-centered approach and iterative user-testing. Responsibilities also include conducting user research and translating findings into essential design artifacts like sitemaps, user flows, and prototypes.
Responsibilities
- Create effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces
- Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs
- Conceive and conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, and translate them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
Requirements
- Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance
- Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, designing for web and mobile applications
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools
- Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies
- Experience in designing online programs with emphasis on the emotional aspects of human experience
