Principal UI Designer

The Principal UI Designer will be responsible for shaping software products by owning the Design System, ensuring UI consistency, and leading the design direction and creative strategy for product design work. This role involves collaborating across departments to translate functional requirements into intuitive, enjoyable user interfaces that align with company branding and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Owning the Design System and ensuring that designs and development follow established components
- Leading the charge in ensuring UI consistency and updates to the Design System
- Developing and executing design direction and creative strategy for product design work
- Participate in design strategy decisions, including leveraging AI in workflows
- Designing visual design assets, including design comps across Clinisys products
- Communicating with multiple departments to gather information and collaborate on products
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in graphic/interface design or related discipline
- Knowledge and training in UI/UX concepts
- Experience with informing, creating and maintaining Design Systems
- 10+ yearsâ experience communicating with technical and subject matter experts
- Software development life cycle and agile software delivery of interactive products
- Working in a commercial software engineering environment
- Creating designs in UI design tools such as Figma or Sketch
