The role involves coordinating data edit requests and managing the GIS database maintenance process, including implementing data changes from field inspections and developing clearance maps. Key duties include updating plats using GIS and CAD software, publishing maps for viewing applications, and ensuring data quality and consistency across dependent systems like OMS and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and assigning the data edit requests
  • Managing the versions in the Graphic Information System (GIS) database
  • Developing and maintaining GIS data maintenance procedures
  • Printing feeder maps as needed
  • Editing tasks in database (GIS/WMIS)
  • Interpreting engineering drawings; updates/maintains plats using GIS and other appropriate software

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Design, Applied Science, Engineering Technology or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, comprehend and communicate clearly and accurately with the English language
  • Knowledge of general drafting standards, practices and procedures and the ability to complete accurate drawings on schedule
  • Experience demonstrating skill reading and interpreting engineering/construction plans and drawings

Benefits

  • Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $51.69/Hr
