
Product Designer

The Product Designer will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, performing necessary calculations, and developing prototypes for components used in rugged terrain equipment. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production and conducting various tests to validate performance and optimize characteristics.
Responsibilities
- Creating detailed designs, performing calculations, and developing prototypes for mechanical components
- Analyzing and selecting appropriate materials based on mechanical properties, cost, and manufacturing processes
- Collaborating and working closely with cross-functional teams including designers/engineers, manufacturing, and quality control
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Previous design experience within similar industries to forestry
- Strong understanding of machine design fundamentals, mechanics, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics
- Software experience including 3D modeling and FEA
