Lead Product Designer

The Lead Product Designer will own the end-to-end design of customer-facing experiences, from concept through shipped code, utilizing code-based prototyping with AI tools. They will collaborate closely with engineers in the codebase, pushing pull requests and building/maintaining the design system within the codebase.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of customer-facing experiencesâfrom early concept through shipped code
- Prototype in code using tools like Claude Code and Cursor
- Collaborate closely with engineers in the codebaseâiterating on designs, pushing pull requests, and working as a peer rather than a handoff partner
- Build and maintain our design system within our codebase â not just using Figma libraries
- Partners closely with Product Management and Engineering to shape squad goals, scope work, and deliver against our ambitious roadmap
- Advocate for the customer in every conversation â grounding design decisions in real user needs, not assumptions
- Contribute to design crits and product reviews, maintaining a high bar for quality and consistency
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience, with meaningful time spent shipping code â not just handing off designs for engineers to build
- Comfort with modern frontend developmentâ React, Next.js, or React Native
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted prototypingâyou can take a design idea and produce a working prototype in a single sitting
- Systems thinking and surface-level craft. You care about building scalable, maintainable design patterns and achieving pixel perfection on a single screen
- Strong product instincts and comfort working across engineering, product, and design to solve complex problems
