Staff Product Designer, Handshake AI

The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to define and build the vision for operator independence and self-serve tooling, requiring the development of strategic product visions and sequencing them into pragmatic phases. This includes running pilots, shadowing users, translating insights into prioritized investments, and owning the design process end-to-end from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic product visions and collaborate with partners to sequence them into pragmatic phases
• Partner with Model Enablement and Fellow Experience squads to enable their work
• Partner with operations leaders and stay close to operators' workflows, running pilots and shadowing users to uncover pain points
• Translate insights into prioritized investments and own design end-to-end, from concept through production
• Raise the bar for design culture and execution, embedding design thinking into day-to-day work and helping others grow

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, ideally working on enterprise products or internal platforms
• Strong communicator, able to articulate design decisions and trade-offs to partners and leadership
• Deep visual and interaction design expertise, with a proven track record of shipped work and measurable impact
• Experience designing complex systems, workflows, or platforms with many stakeholders
