
UX Designer
American Psychological Association Remote (🇺🇸 Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America)
The UX designer will translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and will be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys. They will also help maintain and contribute to Pattern and Persona Libraries and work with the Web Team on designs using Figma and the Tridion CMS.
Responsibilities
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Help maintain and contribute to the department’s Pattern and Persona Libraries
- Work together with the Web Team in their designs (using Figma) and work with their CMS (Tridion)
- Create A/B testing experiments and usability tests and run them
- Work across organizational boundaries with Marketing, Designers, and Product Owners to define, manage and prioritize work
Requirements
- BA or MA with focus in user-centered design; or 2 years equivalent experience working as an UX/interaction designer
- Experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments
- Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions
- Familiarity with the agile methodology/scrum is preferred
- Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and various levels of the organization
- Strong communication and teamwork skills that will ensure success in working across organizational boundaries
