The student will conceptualize and execute high-resolution technical figures for manuscripts and grant proposals, and design high-impact visual assets like scientific posters and professional slide decks for presentations and events. Responsibilities also include producing specialized artistic content, managing newsletter layout, and consulting with researchers to improve visual communication clarity.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute high-resolution technical figures for peer-reviewed manuscripts and grant proposals
- Design high-impact visual assets, scientific posters for international conferences, and professional slide decks for keynote presentations and symposia
- Produce specialized artistic content, such as journal cover art, and develop various graphics for the laboratory website and digital outreach channels
Requirements
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Ability to multitask and work well under deadlines
- High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- High proficiency in Adobe InDesign
