
UX Designer, One MHS Software Controls and Science

The UX Designer will support the Senior UX Designer in delivering an integrated visualization platform combining robotic floor operations with material handling equipment data in a real-time interface. This role involves hands-on work across the full design lifecycle, including user research, prototyping, validation, and ensuring design alignment across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct user interviews with FC operators, controls engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and surface pain points
- Synthesize research findings into personas, journey maps, task flows, and usability insights
- Facilitate workshops and contextual inquiry sessions to understand operator workflows in fulfillment center environments
- Translate research inputs into wireframes, low-fidelity concepts, and high-fidelity mockups for the visualization platform and Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Build interactive prototypes to validate design decisions with end users and engineering partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
- Experience acquiring user data and creating personas and journey maps
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
