Lead Product Designer

The Lead Product Designer will own the end-to-end design direction for the Property & Casualty underwriting AI product, driving product strategy alongside Product Managers through framing problems and running discovery. Key tasks include designing agentic workflows, defining human-in-the-loop interactions, and mentoring other designers on the team.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design direction for the P&C underwriting product
• Drive product strategy alongside PMs by framing problems, running discovery, and bringing back recommendations
• Design agentic workflows and human-in-the-loop interactions
• Engage directly with AI engineers on how agent behavior maps to user intent
• Mentor designers on the team and raise the design bar across the product area

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a product designer with a proven track record in enterprise software
• AI fluency: ability to engage with engineers on agentic architectures, HITL patterns, and failure modes
• Systems-first thinking: ability to design the logic before the screen
• Tinkerer mentality: ability to build something to fix an inefficiency
• Strong facilitator: ability to lead productive conversations through ambiguity
• Strong research craft: ability to plan and run user research and translate findings into product decisions
