The Senior Manager, Product Designer sets the standard for creating rigorous, research-backed, end-to-end product experiences, collaborating closely with business, technical, and product leaders to achieve customer-centered outcomes. This role involves hands-on execution of research, synthesis, and design, while leading and mentoring a team of product designers to ensure high-quality, consistent visual and UX deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Work with the product, business, and technology teams to define, scope, and manage the end-to-end product experience
- Manage the design team activities from research and ideation through to execution and ensure consistent high-quality outcomes
- Guide UX designers on design strategy related to research and insights generation and execute high-quality UX artifacts
- Guide UI designers on executing best-in-class visual design work that is consistent, on-brand, and user-backed
- Work with the front-end developers to ensure the successful implementation of the visual design and product interaction
Requirements
- Ability to plan, direct, and deliver clear research processes and artifacts
- Can make design decisions at a team and product level
- Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units
- Significant experience driving design outcomes in an Agile infrastructure, environments, and deployment strategies
- Seasoned design expertise with deep insight into newest methods, trends, and design operations
- Experience in Agile Development as a product designer, including tools such as Jira and Confluence
