Staff Product Designer - Design Systems

The Staff Product Designer will lead the build-out and maintenance of the design system based on HeroUI, establishing foundations, gaining adoption, and creating necessary documentation and governance. Concurrently, the role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive journey maps for priority product areas to inform product strategy and identify customer experience opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the build-out and maintenance of the design system
- Create and maintain comprehensive journey maps
- Develop a deep understanding of the business to inform strategic design decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams
- Present journey findings to stakeholders and leadership teams
- Mentor designers on design system usage and best practices
Requirements
- 6-8+ years of product design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating depth of understanding
- Proven experience creating journey maps or service design deliverables that influenced product decisions
- Systems thinking ability
- Synthesis skills
- Design system experience
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Documentation excellence
- Proficiency in Figma
