Senior Design Engineering Manager

This role involves leading a team of Design Engineers in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing automated and semi-automated production equipment to meet quality and safety standards. Key duties include leading special projects for equipment design and fabrication, optimizing existing systems, and collaborating cross-functionally to define new equipment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads and executes special projects, including the design and fabrication of production equipment
• Evaluates and optimizes existing mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Develops and implements innovative mechanical/electromechanical fixtures and machines
• Collaborates extensively with Quality and Process Engineers, and other cross-functional departments
• Ensures system and product quality by confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
• Maintains equipment operational efficiency by coordinating maintenance and repair services

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Advanced 3D Design capability, preferably with Autodesk Inventor 2024
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing and maintaining automated assembly machines
• Minimum of 5 years of Supervisory Experience
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatic systems
