Product Designer

The Product Designer will create detailed mechanical designs, perform necessary calculations, and develop prototypes for components intended for rugged forestry equipment, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into production and involves conducting various tests to validate and optimize component performance.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs, perform calculations, and develop prototypes for mechanical components
• Analyze and select appropriate materials based on mechanical properties, cost, and manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production
• Conduct tests to validate designs and optimize performance
• Create technical documentation, including design specifications and bills of materials

Requirements

• Solid understanding of engineering principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly products
• Effective communication and reasoning skills
