The Senior UI Designer will lead the design and delivery of high-quality, pixel-perfect, and accessible UI solutions across web and mobile platforms, ensuring alignment with brand and design system standards. Key duties include contributing to the design system, translating complex requirements into intuitive interfaces, and collaborating across various product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and delivery of high-quality UI solutions across web and mobile platforms
- Creating pixel-perfect, accessible, and scalable interface designs aligned to brand and design system standards
- Contributing to and evolving M&G’s design system and component library
- Translating complex user journeys, business requirements, and regulatory needs into clear and intuitive UI solutions
- Collaborating closely with UX, research, product, engineering, and content teams throughout the design lifestyle
- Presenting and articulating design rational confidently to stakeholders and all levels
- Working within agile product teams to deliver iterative improvements and enhancements
- Ensuring all designs meet accessibility (e.g., WACAG) and usability standards
- Providing guidance and mentoring to other designers where appropriate
Requirements
- Experience as a senior UI Designer, Digital Designer, or similar role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality UI work across responsive digital platforms
- Expert proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Strong understanding of design systems, component-based design, and scalable UI frameworks
- Excellent visual design skills, including typography, layout, color theory, and interaction design
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- Experience working in cross-functional agile teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide design direction and elevate quality standards
