The UI Designer is responsible for building the front-end, user-facing elements of web and mobile applications by translating design wireframes into functional, responsive code. This includes ensuring visual aesthetics, usability, and interactivity while collaborating with UX designers for seamless cross-device experiences.
Responsibilities
- Translating UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into functional, responsive code
- Ensuring web applications are responsive, functional, and visually consistent across various browsers, platforms, and screen sizes
- Collaborating with UX designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to implement visual elements and user interface components
- Building interactive prototypes to showcase functionality and gather feedback
- Optimizing applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance
- Creating, updating, and maintaining UI design documentation
Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience with a focus on product design and UI across a variety of platforms
- Experience in shipping digital products from start to finish including the documentation and development process
- Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity comps, and presentations
- Highly skilled and fast in any tools you need to visualize your ideas and deliver the work
- Enthusiasm and history working in an Agile design process, motivated by design critique
