
Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for building creative assets across digital, print, and video using skills in design, motion graphics, and illustration, while also recommending strategic creative ideas to meet client objectives. This role involves executing fast-paced work across various deliverables, including social media, packaging design, and assisting with visual design for websites and web applications.
Responsibilities
- Building creative assets using a blend of your skills in graphic design, motion graphics, photo editing and illustration, including assets for digital and web, print, and video
- Using your design expertise to recommend creative and strategic ideas that meet client objectives and reach audiences
- Working with the public relations/social teams to identify opportunities for adding value to clients by improving creative elements or finding new ways to use design to reach audiences
- Assisting with visual design for websites and web applications for our clients, from building wireframes and design standards to creating web creative assets and uploading content to existing content management systems
- Spearheading creative for internal marketing, brand, and sales initiatives, including creating infographics, working with photography, building templates, and other document production
- Working withâand occasionally buildingâbrand and identity guidelines for clients and APEX/ruckus Digital, while also being a brand guardian and ensuring brand standards are upheld
- Designing and contributing to client and new business presentations
- Presenting and communicating directly with clients to build lasting relationships and working collaboratively across a team of experts to meet client needs
- Conducting competitive and comparative design and user research and exploration to enhance our deliverables
Requirements
- 3-5 years professional graphic design experience in an agency setting
- A strong understanding of the core fundamentals of design learned through an educational background in graphic design
- A compelling portfolio that showcases your body of work
- Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, XD, InDesign, Premier) and presentation tools (Word, PowerPoint, Google Slides)
- Experience with video editing and building motion graphics, animations, and 3D modelling
- Proficient understanding of web prototyping platforms (Figma, XD, Axure)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent typography, illustration, and infographic design skills, especially when it comes to designing data-heavy materials
- An understanding of photography, photo editing, and processing
- Experience with using data and a strong understanding of users to guide creative decisions
- A strong understanding of how to design for accessibility
