The Senior Product Designer will lead complex, high-impact product initiatives from discovery through release, focusing on shipping regularly and prioritizing real-world impact over pixel-perfect mockups. Responsibilities include designing intuitive, trustworthy, and valuable AI-powered features, collaborating with engineering on implementation, and strengthening the scalable design system, Dialtone.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, high-impact product initiatives from discovery to release
- Ship regularlyâprioritizing real-world impact over pixel-perfect mockups
- Design AI-powered features and workflows that feel intuitive, are trustworthy, and valuable
- Work alongside engineers to refine implementation details and ensure high-quality execution
- Ship front-end development into the codebase
- Use necessary tools to create prototypes and/or tools to test workflows, interactions, and edge cases
- Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals to deliver measurable outcomes
- Strengthen and evolve Dialtone, ensuring scalable, accessible, and cohesive system design
- Identify new opportunities where AI and automation can create meaningful value for customers
- Mentor other designers and elevate the craft, speed, and quality of how the team ships
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality, thoughtful product design work
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivered experiences
- Be highly comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading complex projects independently
- Think in systemsâdesigning cohesive end-to-end experiences rather than isolated screens
- Be comfortable working in front-end code and deeply collaborating with engineering
- Have experience working with AI tools and designing AI-enhanced experiences
- Communicate clearly and persuasively across disciplines, including with leadership
- Care deeply about craft, detail, usability, and measurable product outcomes
- Proactively identify problems, propose improvements, and drive work forward without waiting for direction
- Have experience designing AI-native products, conversational interfaces, or automation workflows
- Have directly contributed to production codebases
- Have experience building SaaS or enterprise collaboration platforms
- Be familiar with communication technologies (voice, messaging, contact centers, or real-time collaboration)
- Have helped evolve or scale a design system
- Bring experience with experimentation frameworks and data-informed iteration
- Contribute to the broader design community through writing, speaking, or mentoring
