Sr. UX Designer

The Senior UX Designer will conduct user-centered research, create design artifacts like wireframes and style guides, and apply user-centered design processes to evaluate and develop solutions. This role involves leading tasks, supporting junior engineers, communicating findings to stakeholders, and managing complex tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user-centered research and usability testing
• Create user flows, wireframes, visual styles, interaction design, UI components, etc.
• Apply user-centered design processes to evaluate existing systems and contribute to new designs
• Effectively communicate design processes and findings to team members and stakeholders
• Select, apply, and support team members in using tools and standards such as the System Usability Scale (SUS), UI style guides, etc.

Requirements

• US DoD Security Clearance
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a UX/HFE environment
• Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe CC (especially XD), Figma, Axure, Sketch, etc.
• A commitment to understanding and advocating for the needs and preferences of end users across a program
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex human factors findings and recommendations articulately to a wide range of audiences
