This role supports university strategic priorities by designing dynamic print and digital collateral, including advertisements, website graphics, and social media assets, to inform and engage internal and external audiences regarding UTMB Health's mission areas. The designer will collaborate with internal teams to develop standardized, on-brand materials for clinical initiatives, provider recruitment, and service line promotion while ensuring visual consistency across numerous sites.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create visually dynamic print and digital collateral
  • Support Faculty Group Practice and clinical initiative projects by developing standardized, on-brand collateral
  • Create suites of print and digital materials that support the clinical pillar of UTMB
  • Develop and maintain promotional packet suites for provider recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing clinical marketing needs
  • Create consistently branded clinic collateral across 49+ sites and four campuses
  • Create marketing advertisements aligned with UTMB brand standards
  • Create and maintain design systems for the clinical pillar
  • Follow brand guidelines to develop consistent campaign materials across various media
  • Prepare and present design drafts for feedback, revision, and approval within the design and branding team

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in graphic design, visual arts, illustration, or a related field, or equivalent
  • Two years of related graphic design experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered

Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of print and digital design projects Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Ability to take constructive feedback and articulate design choices Knowledge of current design trends in graphics, marketing, and web design Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with digital, content, media, design, and social media teams Excellent organizational and project management skills Experience with basic web design and familiarity with HTML/CSS Motion graphics and animations Project management tool Cross-functional collaboration
